...Gospel Yesterday,Gospel 2day,Gospel tomorrow
Most of us grew up listening to what many may call traditional gospel or religious music and if you are a 90's kid or beyond you'd know what iam talking about; your Derrick Nzimande, Sipho makhabane,Masibuyele ku Jehova,Pongola Gospel wagon, Pure Magic, the late Sammy Malete, the late Oleseng ,solly Moholo just to mention a few...
As time went by, the music style changed and gospel music was introduced to us in various and genres for instance we have your wonderful Swazi Dlamini's doing a marvelous work in the jazz department, your Margret Motsage,Karabo Mongatane in the contemporary section, your Ambani Worshiping in Rythms 'n blues and many more , and all are sharing GOD,s word to the world, telling
of his Love and mercies.
Thus one can say Gospel music has evolved and catereng for different ethnics groups, tribes according to the genre they feel most comfortable with and relate to best,I have grown to see all this transition and i must say gospel is growing and continues to take the world by a storm , from singing canticle in our hymm books to writing and composing our own songs based on our life experiences and things we see arround us,which in turn becomes a testimony of what GOD does in our lives
We continue to grow in guidance of the Holy spirit and His anointing on us to minister to Hurt, broken souls, sad hearts ,Healing them through our music...GOSPEL MUSIC LIVES ON...
